2018 CA MCC Rally

Today, on the 112th anniversary of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, agencies from around California have gathered together to demonstrate the variety of capabilities and mutual aid operability of local and regional mobile command units. With upwards of 30 mobile command and communication units on display – in addition to standing demonstrations of mobile units – classroom presentations are being offered; including coverage of the 1906 earthquake, relative to today’s earthquake preparedness, as well as coverage of the 2017 California wildfires.

Whether it be an earthquake, fire, power outage, or all the above, having a reliable communications plan is crucial to deployment efforts. In situations such as these, the IPA HARRIER serves as the solution of choice. Once the HARRIER is deployed, voice, cellular, data and video streaming are served via IPA’s SELECT Network – enabling functions such as real-time full motion video from airborne platforms (UAV drone for instance) to collect critical intelligence information that can easily be sent to command centers and decision makers.

IP Access International has partnered with Ground Control at the 2018 California Mobile Command Center Rally, to showcase leading-edge satellite communications solutions crucial to the success of emergency response. On display: IP Access International’s HARRIER and Ground Control’s 1.2M Toughsat XP Flyaway & MCD-4800 “Football”.

Allowing for seamless interoperability between all organizations with the ability to provide demanding information – on a nearly instantaneous time frame – to key public safety personnel during critical events is imperative. Equipment solutions and services provided by IP Access not only enable situational awareness, but allow for a common operating picture for all agencies involved.
