With increased data speeds on the network of up to 20 Mbps on the downlink and 5 Mbps on the uplink, IP Access will offer this upgrade free of charge to its Plus customers. By utilizing the new features in iDX 3.3, IP Access can now offer specific services to the very specialized needs of the disaster recovery sector. IP Access International delivers high-speed satellite service for customers in emergency management and disaster recovery, among other markets, around the globe. Leveraging the latest features of Evolution 3.3, IP Access now offers data speeds on the network for customers up to 20 Mbps on the downlink and 5 Mbps on the uplink. More efficient returns, along with improved waveforms and lower outbound roll-off via Adaptive TDMA enables agencies to create dedicated on-demand bandwidth groups. This enables the sharing of dedicated bandwidth among their vehicles, or with cooperating agencies. This is ideal for emergency management and disaster recovery customers such as the National Guard, which need access to additional bandwidth to stream HD video during an incident.

“The IP Access community of first responders work in some of the most demanding conditions around the globe, requiring the use of a very high-end, high-speed set of applications. By upgrading to Evolution 3.3 we are now able to configure our network in a way that takes full advantage of bandwidth efficiencies in order to create new on-demand service packages that fit the specific needs of these customers,” says Alan Rich, President, IP Access International.

“By offering special programs for the high-performance X7 remotes IP Access International is positioning its customers to best leverage the latest enhancements to Evolution. These customers are now able to receive the most efficient data rates needed for the bandwidth-heavy business applications and multicast services, which are critical to how they service their end customers,” says Rob Kilroy, Regional Vice President, Americas.

IP Access has announced that all customers which fall under the category of ‘Plus’ will receive the upgrade at no charge simply by optimizing their equipment profile settings. In certain cases, the use of an X7 series remotes will be needed to maximize the throughput. IP Access is offering special programs to upgrade remotes of any interested customer.
