Don’t Wait Until Hurricane Season Reaches Its Peak

Even with new adjustments to the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season forecast, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration pointed out a troubling trend that could have implications for future hurricane forecasting: Warming in the Arctic could drive future Atlantic hurricane tracks farther west and thus make a U.S. landfall more likely.

Four named storms have formed since the Hurricane Season began June 1 and although there has been very little activity, the season will most likely pick up as we move into the typically more active months of August and September.

As we have mentioned before, it only takes one storm to devastate a community – effective communications are vital and the time to prepare is now.
